ARRAINA will develop applied tools and technological solutions for the European fish feed industry in collaboration with SMEs, thereby strengthening the links between R&D and the aquaculture industry and contributing to increase its global productivity and competitive advantage. This project aims mostly at developing sustainable, highly nutritive alternative feeds with low levels of fish meal and fish oil, using cost-effective, and environmental-friendly ingredients specific to the European farmed fishes throughout their life cycles, and to assess the effects of long-term specific predictive tools on the several fishes farmed in Europe.
