The overarching objective of CIPROMED is to increase the stability and resilience of Mediterranean agri-food production systems through the proper, direct exploitation of locally produced traditional crops, as well as by valorising locally generated agri-industrial side-streams and their upcycling and bioconversion to protein by insects, legumes, microalgae and fermentation products that can be further utilised in the agri-food and feed sectors.
