Ana has more than 15 years of experience on data analysis and simulation of aquatic systems, namely, to support aquaculture production. Since 2002 she worked in several R&D departments both in academic and industrial settings. At SPAROS she is a researcher at scientific projects, and is involved with the activities related to simulation of fish growth and feed requirements. Her focus as a Product manager of SPAROS nutritional IT tools is the development and management of the commercial products FEEDNETICS^TM and FiT feeding tables^TM.

Ana Teresa is a Marine Biologist with a master’s in marine science and a PhD in Applied Marine Bioscience with a specialization in Fish Health Management from the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology in Japan. She is an expert in functional and has been focused on improving intestinal performance via modulation of the microbiome-host crosstalk. Her expertise in nutrigenomics has paved the way for assessing new biomarkers for fish and shrimp performance, and as a researcher she contributes in several R&D projects and in the development of new tools to evaluate new ingredients.

Tatiana has a PhD degree in Aquaculture focused on Fish Nutrition. Tatiana has worked many years with Research & Development for the aquaculture industry and has significant experience in using probiotics in aquatic organisms; developing and coordinating scientific trials for aquafeed products; and promoting technical sales opportunities for aquafeed. At SPAROS, Tatiana works as a researcher and marketing manager, being responsible for implementing marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, generating leads, gaining new customers, and ensuring the regulatory compliance pertaining to the business.

Cláudia graduated in Biology and holds a master’s in Aquaculture and a PhD in Sea, Earth, and Environmental Sciences. She is an expert in molecular biology, “Omics” and bioinformatics applied to aquaculture fish, and her research has been focused in improving fish health and welfare through high-throughput technologies. As part of the biomarkers team, she is involved in several R&D projects in data analysis and bioinformatics for the development of molecular markers and new tools to improve aquaculture sustainability.

Vera is a Marine Biologist who earned a MSc in Marine Biology (specialization in aquaculture) from the University of Algarve (Portugal). She is researcher with responsibilities in R&D feed production, and ensures the conformity of the production process of compound feeds for fish and shrimp, manages and monitors the ingredient stocks, and coordinates tjh purchasing and all quality control tests of raw materials and feeds.

André is a member of the research team. He graduated in Biochemistry and earned his MSc in Biotechnology at the University of Algarve, Portugal. He has experience in microencapsulation technologies for the development of fish larvae diets, being involved in feed production (extrusion, vacuum coating) and taking care of diet analysis and biochemical parameter measurements in fish.

João is a Biologist and holds a MSc degree in Sustainable Aquaculture and Nutrition from the University of Stirling. He has a vast hands-on experience with diverse aquaculture species and systems and has been involved in international product commercialization projects and on managing portfolios of key clients. Current activities in SPAROS comprise fish trial planning and management activities in R&D projects, and product management of commercial product HATCHERY FEEDS.

Teresa is graduated in Chemistry ( University of Algarve, Portugal). She coordinates the administrative and financial activities at SPAROS, including project management, human resources, and financial control. She is in charge of the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of the management system in accordance with the GLOBAL G.A.P. and GMP+ standards requirements.

Pedro is graduated in Oceanography and holds a MSc in Business and Administration from the University of Algarve (Portugal). He is involved in customer management, budgeting, order processing and identification of existing legal and logistical barriers to the commercialization and operationalization of our R&D services in the various markets.

Maria has a degree in Animal Husbandry (UTAD. Portugal) and a MSc in Aquaculture (University of Algarve). She is a researcher involved several R&D projects, including participation in experimental trials with fish, analytical work and data analysis, and provides also support in trials report writing.

David holds an MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering and has a strong interest in machine learning, data science, and computers in general. As a member of the Digital Nutritional Tools Team, David contributes his knowledge in data analysis, predictive modeling, and software development to various R&D projects.

Marco holds a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Algarve (Portugal). He supports the development and production of compound feeds for fish and shrimp and other technical-scientific activities according with the strategic goals of the company. He is also responsible for the provision and storage of raw materials and consumables.

Luís is an aquaculture technician who graduated at FOR-MAR in Algarve (Portugal). As a member of the feed production team, he is involved in the development and production of compound feeds for fish and shrimp, packaging and shipment of the products, in addition to other technical-scientific activities according to the strategic goals of the company.

Tetyana is an aquaculture technician based at our partner IPMA facilities  in Olhão. She is involved in the experimental trials, product efficacy tests and samplings of fish and shrimp.

João is an Aquaculture Technician who graduated at FOR-MAR in Algarve (Portugal), and he is a member of the feed production team. He participates in the development and production of compound feeds for fish and shrimp, packaging and shipment of the products, as well as in other technical-scientific activities according to the strategic goals of the company.
