Since 2018, SPAROS has been at the forefront of digital nutrition innovation in aquaculture. In a strategic move to better meet the evolving needs of its clients, SPAROS is now expanding its Digital Nutrition portfolio with on-demand services, offering tailor-made tools that drive performance optimization and support decision-making in aquafeed, additive, and ingredient development.
SPAROS’s digital journey began with the FEEDNETICS™ web application, a Virtual Nutrition Lab used to assess the impact of aquafeeds on fish performance under real farming conditions. This was followed by the launch of FiT feeding tables™ in 2020 — a precision feeding service that tailors strategies to each farm’s growth curve, optimizing feed conversion while maintaining robust fish growth.
Building on this foundation, SPAROS now offers custom digital services based on a unique combination of nutrition science, modelling, data analysis, and UX design. These on-demand tools support multiple species — including Atlantic salmon, rainbow trout, Nile tilapia, seabream, seabass, and meagre — and can be further customized for other species using farm-specific data.
“Digital nutrition is not a static product. It’s an evolving ecosystem designed to empower farms and feed producers with actionable insights,” says the SPAROS team.
What’s New?

A production planning tool is currently being piloted in collaboration with aquaManager and Blue Analytics. Already in use at flatfish, seabream, and seabass farms, trials will soon expand to Tilapia farms in Africa.

HATCHTOOLS, an upcoming trial management platform for fish and shrimp hatcheries, is set to launch soon. It aims to streamline the research and trial process in early life-stage nutrition.
These innovations reflect SPAROS’s commitment to combining scientific depth with practical tools that enhance on-farm outcomes and product development.
