SPAROS has launched the NoviFEED project, funded by the EEA Grants Portugal, with the aim of improving two of its precision fish farming tools (FEEDNETICSᵀᴹ and FiT feeding tablesᵀᴹ) for intelligent feeding management of Atlantic salmon and meagre farming.
One of the main goals of the project is to study the effects of dissolved oxygen on the feed intake of Atlantic salmon and meagre and to include it, via mathematical modelling, in our tools.
We are thrilled to conduct this exciting project in partnership with four great partners:
– SEAentia (Portugal)
– IPMA Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera (Portugal)
– Institute of Marine Research (IMR), Norway
– University of Bergen (UiB) (Norway)
Precision fish farming tools have great potential to improve fish farming efficiency and contribute to more sustainable fish farming
practices, one of the biggest challenges facing the industry today. We are happy to have the opportunity to actively contribute with innovative solutions to overcome this challenge and to work together for a green and competitive Europe.
Stay tuned here to keep track of project outcomes:
