𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗦 will contribute to the ONLINE TRAINING PROGRAMME on “NUTRITION AND FEEDING IN SEABREAM AND SEABASS PRODUCTION”, part of the PerformFISH project capacity building activities.
This two-day training session will deal with nutritional quality of feeds, and techniques and tools for improving feeding and husbandry on the second day. Contents will include recommended dietary levels of minerals and vitamins, novel raw materials in commercial diets, conditioning farmed fish to novel feeds, accurately evaluating fish for skeletal anomalies, biomass and fish length, the use of a decision support tool for optimal feeding, and reviewing current challenges on aquaculture farms. The course will be run in a webinar format, and delivered by members of ULPGC, CSIC, HCMR, SINTEF and SPAROS. This training will be accessible to anyone with an interest or role in the sector, including fish farmers, students/researchers interested in aquaculture nutrition, feed formulators and producers, and aquaculture veterinarians.
