Held on 14-15 March at Hotel Real Marina, Olhão, Portugal, was a huge success!

We are thrilled to announce that the 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗩𝗔 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 held on 14-15 March at Hotel Real Marina, Olhão, Portugal, was a huge success! Organized in partnership with PTAqua ( Pacific Trading Aquaculture ) , the workshop brought together 𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 to discuss recent progress on fish larvae nutrition, rearing and feeding, with a particular focus on nutrition of cleaner fish and fast-growing Mediterranean species. The event included presentations, round-table discussions, technical visits, and a visit to Sparos, where participants learned about species-tailored microdiet development.

The aim of the workshop was to provide an outlook on recent progress that contributes towards increased weaning success and juvenile quality in marine fish hatcheries. There were specific insights on Ballan wrasse and larval nutrition & functional diets used in Mediterranean species including Seriola Sp. and corvina.

We want to thank all the participants and presenters, including Centre of Marine Sciences (CCMAR) – Centre of Marine Sciences of the Algarve (Portugal), S2AQUAcoLAB (Portugal), IPMA Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera (Portugal), Universidade de Aveiro (Portugal), Ghent University (Belgium) and Nofima (Norway), for making this event such a huge success.
