SPAROS carried out a Training course on the ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ง๐๐๐ฆ แตแดน software to promote ๐๐พ๐๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐๐ง results with an impact for the aquaculture sector.
During the two days the 12 participants, including staff from fish farms, aquafeed sector, and aquaculture researchers, including several PhD students, learned about the most updated outcomes about ๐๐พ๐๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐๐ง presented by the project leader Antti Kause (Luke), and the partners researchers Daniel Montero (ULPGC), Marc Vandeputte (INRA), Kahsay Nirea (Benchmark Genetics of Norway), Luรญs Conceiรงรฃo (SPAROS) and Tomรฉ Silva (SPAROS).
In the first day during the hands-on part of the course the participants were able to use the ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ง๐๐๐ฆ แตแดน web-application guided by the use case presented by Ana Nobre (SPAROS). They could screen different feeding strategies for different temperature profiles to evaluate which has the potential to improve FCR, reduce the time to harvest, enhance growth, economic conversion, and reduce N and P waste.
During the second day Filipe Soares (SPAROS) illustrated how to use ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ง๐๐๐ฆ แตแดน to evaluate the performance of different Nile tilapia strains including the assessment of the economic benefits of the improved strains.
