Improving diet formulations for the early stages of European lobster

European lobster – early stages

Exciting results on the introduction of a formulated diet rich in protein and calcium open good prospects to replace live or frozen feed for early stages of the European lobster and to improve its hatchery production.

SPAROS Lda, Riasearch and Estaรงรฃo Litoral da Aguda, investigated the biological efficacy of tailored diets for European lobsters in terms of growth, moulting, survival and colour changes.
