𝗧𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰: 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴

SPAROS invites interested relevant parties to apply for a PhD student position at SPAROS (Portugal) with the aim of developing scientific work in the areas of Aquaculture and Modelling, culminating with the submission of a thesis for attribution of a doctoral degree by the Universitetet i Bergen (Norway).
In particular, the applicant is expected to work within project “NoviFEED – Novel tools for intelligent feeding management in Atlantic salmon and meagre farming” to clarify and quantify the effects of intrinsic (fish size, prior satiety state) and extrinsic factors (temperature, dissolved oxygen, diet properties) on Atlantic salmon feed intake, contributing towards advancing the state-of-the-art in scientific knowledge and the development of predictive models of Atlantic salmon feed intake. Domain knowledge and know-how in Aquaculture and Modelling is not strictly required, but is considered a plus.
