SPAROS presents the DigiATLA project at ZOOTEC Portugal 2025

SPAROS presented the DigiATLA project at ZOOTEC Portugal 2025, highlighting new initiatives to strengthen digital competencies and sustainability in aquaculture.

SPAROS took part in ZOOTEC Portugal 2025, held in Lisbon on October 23, where Andreia Raposo presented the DigiATLA project — a new capacity-building initiative recently approved under the Interreg Atlantic Area programme.

DigiATLA aims to strengthen digital competencies in aquaculture by supporting farms, SMEs, and research institutions in adopting practical digital tools. The project focuses on improving data management, decision-making, and climate resilience — fostering a more efficient, innovative, and sustainable aquaculture sector across the Atlantic region.

The project brings together a strong consortium including SPAROS, S2AQUA, IPMA, University of Vigo, INRAE, L’Institut Agro, and the University of Galway.
