SPAROS joins DigiATLA to support the digital transition of Atlantic aquaculture

SPAROS has joined DigiATLA, a transnational project co-funded by the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme, supporting the digital transition of Atlantic aquaculture through training, collaboration and precision aquaculture tools.

Work under the DigiATLA project has officially begun. SPAROS is proud to be part of this transnational initiative co-funded by the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme, which brings together organisations committed to accelerating the digital transition of aquaculture in the Atlantic Area.

The project’s kick-off meeting took place this week in Olhão (Portugal), gathering consortium partners for an in-person alignment on objectives, work packages and implementation strategy for the coming years.

Within DigiATLA, SPAROS will actively contribute to the development of training and capacity-building activities targeting both students and aquaculture professionals. The company’s role will focus on strengthening collaboration between research, industry and key stakeholders, while supporting knowledge transfer through structured training actions, workshops and applied learning initiatives.

By combining digitalisation, data analysis and precision aquaculture approaches, DigiATLA aims to enhance the resilience, efficiency and competitiveness of the Atlantic aquaculture sector.

Updates on project progress, pilot activities and upcoming training opportunities will be shared throughout the project’s implementation.
