On Portugal’s National Sustainability Day, SPAROS joined more than 80 organizations at the Cruise Terminal of Porto de Leixões to showcase innovative algae-based aquafeed prototypes as part of the Blue Bioeconomy Pact.

Last week, Cláudia Magalhães represented SPAROS at the National Exhibition of Projects under the Blue Bioeconomy Pact (PBA), which took place at the Cruise Terminal of Porto de Leixões on Portugal’s National Sustainability Day.

The event brought together over 300 participants and 80 organizations, featuring a rich program that included networking moments, an opening conference with José Soares dos Santos (President of the Supervisory Board of Inovamar), a roundtable on the future of the blue economy, and demonstrations of products, processes and services developed within the PBA.

At the Vertical Algas (WP5) stand, coordinated by PhytoBloom — Microalgae by Necton, new algae-based bioproducts and prototypes were presented. SPAROS participated as part of SP5 – Animal Feed, showcasing innovative diet prototypes for fish larvae and juveniles enriched with algae, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable aquaculture solutions.
