Sparos co-authors a novel research article on Fish Physiology and Biochemistry

Members of the Sparos team have contributed to a novel research article published on Fish Physiology and Biochemistry. The article is entitled: Dietary indispensable amino acids profile affects protein utilization and growth of Senegalese sole larvae.

Briefly: The study suggests that a replacement of an encapsulated fraction of a protein hydrolysate by an encapsulated amino acid mixture, in order to better balance the dietary IAA profile, may bring a positive short-term effect on the  development of the Senegalese sole larvae capacity to retain small-sized peptides. Interestingly, this positive effect did not reflect on the somatic growth, as larvae that fed a more imbalanced (Control group) diet attained a better performance.
